MOTIONSICK INTRODUCE THEIR PROTAGONIST IN THE NEW ALBUM "THE INNER SIDE"

HOLY SHIT! MOTIONSICK! The new album "The Inner Side" is out since February 10th and I overslept it!!

With their album, the four guys from Innsbruck present a protagonist who struggles with his inner demons, hides behind a mask full of lies and doesn't even show himself to his closest lovers. The 14 songs lead us through the ups and downs of the protagonist, let us feel what he feels and cast a spell over us.

It's unique how they manage to make the album so creative and varied that you don't feel bored, because 14 songs can often be very long and tiresome. But not so with Motionsick. The four combine different parts in their songs that always surprise you. Definitely again a band that manages to create an international vibe and sound. And often, in my opinion, not even the most well-known and successful bands succeed.

The track "Apnea" begins with the lyrics "Am I the only one who reads the letters, am I the only one who understands" in combination with distorted-reverberating guitars, reminiscent of Dead Vibrations, immediately causes goosebumps and makes me even deeper delve into the narrative and history of the album. It's just as exciting with the next song "Sick", which somehow immediately reminds me of one of my favorite bands "Underoath" and the album fascinates me more and more the more I listen to it. Every song is unique and it seems to me that this album combines all my favorite genres and sounds from bands that I really like, but still retains such a special unique selling point that I wonder where MOTIONSICK will go from here? For my part, I certainly hope that the guys pull through properly and massage our eardrums live as often as possible.

I'd love to list all the details that I've noticed and excited about, but I'd still be sitting here next week and you'd probably fall asleep reading this, so I'll keep this short and wrap it up. You know my lyrics, brevity is the spice.

Before the release of the album, some lavish music videos were spoiled to prepare us for "The Inner Side"! You can definitely tell that the band put a lot of thought into the promo phase right through to the release, I have the greatest respect for that, because it really turned out very well!

Bis zum nächsten Mal

euer Constantin!
